Property Commission Policy

 

Draft of Property Policies for Peace Reformed Church.
The following are recommendations for temporary policies, until April 1, 2012.  Because we are a new church without any previous guidelines or policies, the next 6 months will allow for further review and adjustments. 

1)    Property Commission Members:   ILT approval of commission members to a three year term, including 2 ILT members on staggered terms.  Group will meet the Monday before the scheduled Wednesday ILT meetings, which is open to anyone in the congregation.

·         Expiration of Terms:

Ø      Brian 2014

Ø      Shantelle & Mitch Sorenson 2015,

2)   Posters, messages, signage, banners, decorations, etc. are prohibited from the walls and windows.

·         Exception for Worship Center, Narthex, Lower Level Entry and Hallways:  Temporary Signage (30 days or less) directly related to a sermon series, Vacation Bible School, or educational programs.   Discretion for the exception, solely with ILT.

·         Exception for Sunday School Rooms:  May use all walls, with appropriate adhesive putty – no nails, screws, or tape.

·         Attachment of signage:  Removable adhesive putty only.  No nails or screws or tape.

 

3)   Donations:  Pictures, banners, decorations, plants, furniture, etc. will be accepted only with the recommendation of the Property Committee at their normal monthly meeting.   With final written approval or denial required by the ILT.
